Brake Fluid
BHP will only offer products that we feel are the very best in the Industry. It is for this reason that along with our BHP branded friction materials we are also offering the GS610 Brake Fluid.
The major brand of brake fluid used in the upper ranks of pro-racing has been the same fluid for over 20 years. Unfortunately this $65.00 a liter brake fluid has been reformulated and replaced by another formulation. Whatever the reasoning for this change it has been a disaster in the field as there has been a major issue with seal compatibility.
At BHP we continually receive calls and are asked what brake fluid we would recommend and for the last year it has been GS 610. In our opinion it is every bit as equal to the $65.00 fluid and is in fact the only fluid we have not been able to boil on our dyno. Because we continued to recommend this fluid a NASCAR Crew chief suggested the we should stock it.
Well now we are! BHP is pleased to offer our customers the GS610 brake fluid. If it were not hands down the best brake fluid on the market we simply would not offer it!
GS610™ is formulated to perform under the most extreme braking conditions. Designed to withstand the high temperatures of braking GS610™ qualifies as a professional racing brake fluid. GS610™ is an obvious choice for club racing, performance upgrades and any application that demands superior braking. GS610™ was created to extend your vehicle's ultimate braking performance threshold.
GS610™ has a maximum tested Dry Boil Point or Equilibrium Reflux Boiling Point (ERBP) of 626°F (330°C) with a Wet Boiling Point or Equilibrium Reflux Boiling Point (Wet ERBP) of 417°F (214°C) which also greatly exceeds the DOT 4 requirement of 311°F (155°C).
GS610™ brake fluid meets and/or exceeds all current US Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS 116) for DOT 3, DOT 4, and current Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) J1703 and J1704.
GS610™ brake fluid is suitable for all disc and drum brake systems with the exception of those for which mineral oil is stipulated.
Though we do not recommend it, GS610™ is miscible with all conventional brake fluids that comply with DOT 3 and DOT 4 standards. Mixing other brake fluids with GS610™ will greatly reduce the benefits of our fluid. Before adding GS610™ into your system we recommend that all conventional brake fluid is 100% purged. Only by completing a full flush and refilling with GS610™ can you be assured that you will receive the absolute benefit from GS610™.
GS610 is the ONLY brake fluid we recommend and stock because it is the ONLY brake fluid we have never boiled in our in-house dyno.
